Stadion Aldo Drosina – stadium description
Rebuilt completely between 2009 and 2010, this stadium in strict centre of Pula had cost 45 million kuna (then €6 million or $8 million). For this price Pula received a stadium seating almost 9,000 people with one stand covered with membrane. Underneath the single-tiered stands are shops and cafes.
Day-to-day use is provided by two local clubs – Istra 1961 and Istra Pula. Reopening game in 2010 saw none of them, though, as Croatia matched Czech Republic in a friendly game.
Famous player and coach from Pula, Aldo Drosina, is the stadium’s patron.
