Gol Nord at Spotify Camp Nou – access and safety issues

The technical assessment of the facility is being carried out by Dekra, authorized by the Barcelona city council to issue a report on safety standards, evacuation systems and stand access conditions. The latest inspection visit to the stadium was aimed at verifying whether all infrastructure elements meet the strict standards required to expand capacity.

Particular concerns remain around the Gol Nord area, where improvements are needed in crowd circulation and access organization. These administrative and technical details are the main reason for the delay in obtaining the 1C operating licence. The Gol Nord sector is crucial not only in terms of seating capacity but also for stadium atmosphere. Traditionally, this is the space where the most passionate supporter chants are concentrated.

The club does not exclude that, if the permit is not issued on time, the next realistic deadline for full opening of the sector would be the league match scheduled for mid-March. Meanwhile, intensive organizational work continues to ensure adequate fan support for the team even under restricted stand availability.

New hospitality model at Spotify Camp Nou – 9,400 VIP seats

In parallel with administrative matters, FC Barcelona is developing a new commercial strategy for the stadium. The renovated Spotify Camp Nou is set to become one of the most important hospitality centres in European football.

Upon completion, the stadium will offer a total of 9,400 VIP seats, more than 3.5 times the previous configuration. This figure includes 5,400 already sold locations, 3,000 reserved for further commercialization, and additional seats derived from existing contracts. Approximately 1,000 more places are planned for strategic allocation in the near future, giving the club additional business flexibility.

VIP licensing model at FC Barcelona – a new long-term approach

The new Barça Hospitality product allows exclusive VIP seat rights for a period ranging from 15 to 30 years. This model introduces a fundamentally new quality in relationships with corporate clients and business partners. The license holder may resell the right to another entity, return it to the club under contractual conditions, suspend usage for one season, or commercialize selected matches through FC Barcelona, significantly increasing investment flexibility.

The structure transforms a VIP seat into a high-value planning and investment asset rather than simply a premium match-day ticket. The license cost ranges from €20,000 to €80,000 depending on location and contract duration. Annual fees are estimated between €6,000 and €12,000, ensuring predictable long-term revenue streams for the club.

Spotify Camp Nou as FC Barcelona’s future financial engine

The board of FC Barcelona estimates that once fully operational, the stadium could generate up to €350 million more in annual revenue compared with the previous operating model. The growth is expected to come mainly from hospitality services, new sponsorship agreements and expanded commercial opportunities.

New business spaces, an exclusive Business Club hosting around ten networking events per year, and greater flexibility of the offer are intended to transform the stadium into a year-round relationship platform.
