The day has arrived. Eleven months after it was promised, Barcelona has been given permission to return to Camp Nou. However, with just 25,991 spectators, corresponding to phase 1A, (Tribuna and Gol Sud stands) instead of the 60,000 that were expected to witness the return on November 29, 2024, the club's 125th anniversary. But the blaugrana directorship has no intention, for the moment, to return to the Estadi.

As announced last week, the club will only return once the first occupancy license for phase 1B has also been granted, which will allow the Lateral stand to be opened, in addition to Gol Sur and Tribuna. This will allow 45,041 people to enter Camp Nou, a number that will also allow Champions League matches to be played there. According to Mundo Deportivo, the date currently being considered is the match against Athletic on November 23.

Yesterday afternoon, FC Barcelona confirmed the news in a statement, once again thanking its fans for their understanding and support in such a complex and exciting process. Minutes before the announcement, the club announced the extension of its partnership with Spotify, meaning that the Blaugrana temple will continue to be called Spotify Camp Nou until 2034.
