Return to Camp Nou pushed back once more

In an official statement, the club said it is still working to secure the final administrative permits to open the new Spotify Camp Nou as soon as possible and thanked socios and fans for their patience during what it called a complex but exciting process.

This will be Barça’s second straight game at Estadi Johan Cruyff. Last Sunday the ground hosted the 6–0 win over Valencia, a match in which Fermín López again stood out. The midfielder admitted afterwards that the pitch brings him luck — he also scored a brace there in the Joan Gamper Trophy against Como.

The club hopes to return to Spotify Camp Nou quickly. On Monday it received the final completion certificate, but the city council must still review all the paperwork to grant the first use permit. If everything runs on schedule, the most likely return date is 28 September for the league match against Real Sociedad, which would serve as a dress rehearsal before the Champions League game against PSG.

Ticket sales

Barça also set out the ticketing process for the Getafe match. The same system used for the Valencia game will apply: of the 16,151 socios with season passes for 2023/24 and 2024/25 at Montjuïc, priority will go to those who couldn’t attend the previous league fixture. Those who neither won the draw nor bought tickets in the later phase will have a 24-hour priority window before sales open to the rest of the full-season holders at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys.
