Barcelona confirms: El Clásico at Montjuic

Of the eleven matches that remain to be played, seven will be played at Montjuïc; including the one that may be the most important at the end of the season, El Clásico, FC Barcelona published on Sunday. Montjuïc must be a fortress and push the Culés team to victory in every game, the club mobilises its socios.

By the same token, however, Barça has confirmed that they will not return to Camp Nou this season. Mundo Deportivo reported last week that the board of directors of the Blaugrana, headed by Laporta, considered returning home for a match against Real Madrid (May 11) or Villareal (May 18), but that this will not be possible. Barcelona will therefore finish the season at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys.

Months of delays and no return date

If Barça returns to Camp Nou in August, the delay will reach nine months. Initially, Laporta promised a return for the club's 125th anniversary on November 29, 2024. Later he indicated December or January, then March or April, before finally extending the stay at Montjuic until the end of the season. This time, however, the club has not even given an estimated return date.

Further delays cast doubt on Laporta's claim and the effectiveness of the main contractor, the Turkish company Limak. Especially after a video from the construction site which a Belarusian youtuber - invited to Camp Nou by the club - published on his channel. The view was not optimistic. There was now sight of ongoing work on the stands, workers were sleeping on chairs and only a few were doing some insignificant work. After less than 24 hours, the scenes disappeared from his channel, but we managed to get to them and present them in the latest video on the state of work at Camp Nou:
