FC Barcelona has resolved the stadium issue for the remainder of the season. The club has signed an agreement with Barcelona Serveis Municipals (BMS) for the use and operation of the Estadio Olímpico de Montjuïc until May 20.

Key decisions made
This date falls two days after Barcelona’s final LaLiga match against Villarreal. In January, the club requested an extension of their agreement, as The Rolling Stones concert would no longer take place as originally planned. Thanks to this arrangement, Barcelona is guaranteed to finish the season in the city and will not have to relocate to another venue, which was initially considered if continuing to play at Montjuïc proved unfeasible.
Season ticket extension available for Montjuïc
The club sent an email to its socios who currently hold season tickets at Montjuïc, informing them of the possibility to extend their passes through the end of the 2024/25 season.
We are introducing the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys 24/25 season ticket extension, which includes all LaLiga and UEFA Champions League home matches played by the men’s first team until the end of the 2024/25 season. If you wish to extend your current season ticket to include these additional matches, you can do so by clicking the link below,

Despite this information, according to Mundo Deportivo, FC Barcelona has not completely ruled out the possibility of returning to Camp Nou for the final matches of the season. Club officials emphasize that the timeline for returning to the stadium depends on many unpredictable factors.
Two matches are in question: against Real Madrid on the weekend of May 10–11 and against Villarreal on the weekend of May 17–18. Both fixtures are still awaiting full confirmation regarding their venue. Will Barça consider moving them to Camp Nou if construction progresses according to plan? That remains to be seen.
Work on the new pitch
The installation of the pitch is scheduled for the end of April, which will be a key factor in the decision on whether a return to the stadium is possible. If the matches are moved, minor adjustments would be needed, such as temporary lighting, a press room, and changing rooms.
The club must assess whether the costs of these modifications are justified, considering that only two matches are involved. Barça has acknowledged facing challenges with the availability of materials and skilled labor, which has slowed down the renovation of Camp Nou. Additionally, weather conditions in recent months have affected the pace of construction, causing delays.
