Poland: One more city says goodbye to old stadium and welcomes new one According to the Mayor of Opole, Arkadiusz Wisniewski, the work is practically complete and construction acceptance of Odra Opole's new stadium will be carried out by the end of the year. A farewell to the old facility is also planned.

Farewell to a beautiful history

In just a few days, Odra Opole will play their last league match at the municipal stadium at 51 Oleska Street. From the start of the spring round, they will play at the new stadium at Technologiczna Street. On this occasion, an exhibition on the history of the stadium, commemorating its 85 years of existence, is on display at the Opole market square. The facility, which functioned as Oppelner Stadion before the war, has been the home of Odra Opole since 1945.

Fans are eagerly awaiting the new stadium, but many are also looking for online activities in the meantime. For this, they choose Togel Online, which provides them with the safest lottery sites in Indonesia and one of the most widely used gambling sites.

This is a unique exhibition that recalls the long history of the stadium and the many events that took place there. Of course, it was first and foremost a stadium for a football club and most memories are related to football events, but not only. As you know, we are slowly moving to a new venue. History will start a bit from the beginning, although we will always have a great fondness for what happened at Oleska, explains Opole Mayor Arkadiusz Wiśniewski, quoted by nto.pl.

The exhibition will be on display until November 12, and this will take place on November 9 at 5:30 p.m. Odra Opole will then take on Warta Poznan.

What is Odra Opole's new stadium like?

From the outside and inside, the stadium looks like the one we admired in the project. Already, 100% of the stadium has been applied with a white but light-transmitting dress. The special membrane, which will also be the façade, has been made of Teflon-coated openwork fibreglass material, and its shapes give it a light and eye-catching appearance.

The environmental aspects of the stadium are worth mentioning. Photovoltaics will make the stadium independent of external suppliers, and rainwater will be used to water the pitch. The surroundings of the arena are also trying to keep pace with the advanced work inside the venue. A bus shelter has been erected near the stadium, and pavements leading to the stadium as well as cycle paths are being built.

Fans from Opole who also support Spanish teams will not be disappointed. From the outside, the stadium's colours are those of Real Madrid, while in the stands, the seats are reminiscent of FC Barcelona's colours. The membrane gains a striking illumination of the facility after dark. During the tests, the facility received an illumination in blue and red, a clear reference to Odra's club colours. Although completion is planned for this year, the inauguration will take place the following year. The exact date is not yet known, but it may fall at the start of the spring round, similar to the facility in Katowice.
