If not the beginning of January, then the start of February?

Joan Laporta was clear about the progress and return to Spotify Camp Nou, which excites all the culés so much. The club believes that if it’s not the end of January, it will be the beginning of February, depending on the game schedule. The grass and the seats are already being installed. We are working to make the return as comfortable as possible, though we assume there will initially be some discomfort, Laporta explained.

City Council upholds previous decision. Still no work allowed on Saturdays

On October 17, Barcelona City Council confirmed that Barça can continue working 24 hours a day inside and in closed areas of the stadium, as long as no noise is produced. Representatives from the Les Corts district and local neighborhood associations met for their monthly meeting to discuss the construction situation. They decided to maintain the conditions agreed upon last month, when the council first allowed 24-hour work. The only new development is that the City Guard will monitor compliance, with a patrol in place from 8:00 PM.

Local associations explained that the decision is a result of numerous complaints from neighbors around the stadium. The lights turn off only at 11:00 PM, which is annoying because they face the houses. Some nights you can hear radios being turned off at 10:00 or 11:00 PM, said one neighbor. They demand that Barça strictly adhere to the agreements. We shook his hand, and he grabbed our entire arm, one resident quipped.

Les Corts authorities stated that work can proceed from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM from Monday to Friday, with an extension until 10:00 PM for less noisy activities. Work can also extend from 10:00 PM to 12:00 AM on sections farthest from residential areas, but unfortunately, no work is allowed on Saturdays.

Sponsor logo being installed, and Barcelona focuses on sustainability

Daily updates on social media show the progress at Camp Nou. Spotify’s logo is beginning to appear on the second level of the northern gate, alongside blue and burgundy seating, and yellow spots as part of the logo.

FC Barcelona is committed to a circular economy and sustainability, one of the three pillars of its 2021–2026 Strategic Plan. A recycling plant has been built on the site of the former Miniestadi, where concrete and steel from Spotify Camp Nou renovation are being recycled for reuse. The recycling facility will operate until all materials have been processed.

The process focuses on separating concrete and steel, which are then crushed and reused. 100% of non-structural concrete and 20% of structural concrete will be reused. Recycled steel is transported offsite for processing and then brought back to Camp Nou to be incorporated into the new structure, with 97% recycled content.
