Waiting for the green light
Luton Town has stated that the review process by council officials could take up to two weeks, after which all documents will be made public. Gary Sweet, CEO of Luton and the club's development company, 2020 Developments, said: This important announcement is a landmark moment for all fans, residents, and businesses of Luton.
The firms AECOM and SISA, supported by Klaska Ltd and Trivandi, have been appointed as the lead designers for the new Luton Town F.C. stadium and public space during the initial planning phase. The project also includes the construction of a hotel and concert hall at the club's new home. We have selected and structured an elite team of designers, engineers, and technicians who worked with us on every floor and corner of the new stadium to a detailed stage. As a result, it can now be submitted, publicly aired, and presented as a well-prepared, detailed design brief for contractors,
said Gary Sweet.

Time to say goodbye to Kenilworth Road
As the Championship club has announced plans to complete construction by 2027, fans will only have three more years to enjoy Luton’s historic stadium, which has stood for 119 years. Opened in 1905, Kenilworth Road is renowned for its unique location. The road leading to the Oak Road End is lined with terraced houses, but the row of red bricks suddenly ends, and a large blue sign appears above what should be the ground floor of someone's home. Beneath that sign are the entrance turnstiles to the stadium. After tickets are checked, fans are greeted by blue-painted iron stairs that lead to the back of the Oak Road End. As they ascend, fans are treated to views of residents’ gardens – trampolines, clotheslines, and other typical backyard items, easily visible on both sides.
