Last week, Santos and the company WTorre held an important meeting to agree on the details of the construction of a new stadium. The meeting was attended by members of the Management Committee, the Board of Deliberative Council of Santos, representatives of WTorre, and the law firm Bicalho Navarro Advogados.

The meeting lasted over three hours, during which new steps were defined to make the partnership profitable. Recently, Santos and WTorre presented the city of Santos with the project for the construction of the Nova Vila Belmiro stadium. WTorre also responded to the club's earlier request and presented a feasibility plan for building the new arena at the current location of CT Meninos da Vila. The company presented a study outlining the advantages and disadvantages of building the arena at both locations (CT and Vila Belmiro district).
Local residents and Santos supporters are very interested in the news about the new stadium, especially as the club has a huge fan base. Many of them, however, are opting for online entertainment. This trend is more noticeable in Europe – to choose the right entertainment, some people check out online casinos in Ireland – so that fun is guaranteed and they can also profit.
According to DIÁRIO, both locations have similar value for this investment. CT stands out due to its closer proximity to São Paulo (estimated travel time shorter by 20 minutes). Vila Belmiro, on the other hand, is already deeply rooted in the club's tradition.
Project important for entire community
The project, approved by the Santos Deliberative Council and its partners, envisions the construction of a new multifunctional arena, modeled after large stadiums worldwide. The stadium is expected to accommodate over 30,000 people. The new stadium is set to become a landmark not only for Peixe but also for the entire city. In addition to modernizing the infrastructure for sports events, the project plans for the venue to host a variety of cultural and entertainment events, increasing the region's tourist appeal.
The construction of the new stadium is also seen as a lever for local economic development, creating new jobs and promoting entrepreneurship in the area. With modern amenities, fans will enjoy a better experience at various events, and the increased capacity will ensure higher match-day revenues for the club. The initiative of Santos to build a new stadium with WTorre reflects the dynamic and futuristic vision of the club's management, aiming not only for success on the field but also for strengthening the brand and integrating with the community.
Discussions about building a new stadium for Santos have been ongoing since 2018. During the meeting, the club's president, Marcelo Teixeira, demanded an acceleration of this process. In the coming days, a smaller committee will deliberate on the final location of the venue.
