A tender has been announced for the completion and realization of the municipal stadium in Nowy Sącz on Kilińskiego Street. On Monday, May 6, the Nowosądecka Infrastruktura Komunalna, responsible for the stadium construction for Sandecja Nowy Sącz, announced a tender for the task named Completion of the Municipal Stadium in Nowy Sącz on Kilińskiego Street, including equipment, infrastructure, and area development – to be carried out in a design and build mode. According to the tender documentation, the contractor's responsibilities will include developing the concept and comprehensive project documentation, obtaining necessary decisions, permits, and agreements, submitting applications to relevant architectural and construction administration authorities for construction work, and then, based on the prepared documentation, realizing the planned investment intention and obtaining the permit for use.

Will they make it on time?

One of the requirements imposed on the contractor is that by September 15, the stands of the facility should accommodate a maximum of 900 people. This means that Sandecja will likely be able to use the new stadium before the entire investment is completed.

The requirements are probably due to delays. The city hall wants to respond in a way that fulfills promises made during the election campaign. Unfortunately, based on information from industry insiders, it's hard to believe and say that the stadium will be completed this year, said councilor Michał Kądziołka in an interview with Gazeta Krakowska.

Currently, work is finishing up on securing the façade of stand A and the club building. The tender for the stand facade has not yet been resolved. However, these elements are independent of the tender for the completion of the facility.

Will Sandecja join the third league?

I am not a member of the licensing committee, but the association will oversee the Sandecja issue. The licensing matter now rests with the appropriate committee. There is significant engagement within the association on this matter. The committee will not approve the license by relocating the company's headquarters to another city. Sandecja must return to Nowy Sącz, said one of the representatives of the PZNP in an interview with the dts24 portal.

What does this mean in practice? If the licensing requirements for playing in the third league are not met, the club will be relegated to amateur league. In that case, practically any available facility in the city will meet the playing requirements in Nowy Sącz. However, a chance for Sandecja might be that at the fourth tier of competition, decision-making also lies with the local association, in this case, the Małopolski Związek Piłki Nożnej in Kraków.

Containers have already appeared at the stadium site in Nowy Sącz. They are intended to serve, among other things, as temporary changing rooms. The decision on whether these infrastructural actions meet the requirements for the third league will be made by the appropriate licensing committee. However, it should be noted that headquarters is closely monitoring Sandecja's actions, and in this case, there may not be another grace period.
