Photos that appeared on social media show that the Major League Soccer club is moving forward with plans to add bleachers in three corners of the stadium, increasing its capacity by 3,000 fans. PNK DRV Stadium has a capacity of 18,000, and this is expected to be increased before the Argentine player makes his debut on July 21 for the team already led by Gerardo "Tata" Martino.
According to NBC Miami, the new stands were used during F1 competitions when the drivers drove past Hard Rock Stadium. Tickets for the debut of the soccer player nicknamed La Pulga were almost completely sold out, including tickets for the newly built sections of the stadium, which were available at $200 apiece. However, some tickets for two of the new stands are still available.
Messi is already in Miami
The FC Barcelona legend arrived in Florida on July 11. So, he has five days to prepare for his presentation at PNK's DRV Stadium, and then another five to harmonize with the team before his inaugural game against Cruz Azul. Beckham's Miami co-owner Jorge Mas says Messi will earn between $50 million and $60 million a year.
Moreover, not only will the Argentine be presented, but also his former Barcelona teammate Sergio Busquets. He has already signed a contract with the club, and Jordi Alba is also close to coming to Florida. According to reports, there are chances that the MLS club will hold an open training session on Monday, July 17. This will be the first time fans will be able to see their stars playing together for the first time in Inter Miami kits.
