This time last year 26 international teams of architects were preparing their final bids for ‘Nou Camp Nou’. Their task was expanding the current stadium’s stands into a more even bowl of 105,000 capacity, covering spectators with a roof of at least 47,000 m2 and creating a new, modern appearance for Europe’s largest stadium.
In Autumn of 2015 the jury has selected 8 teams for final evaluation and in March we’ve seen the first renderings of the winning design, one by Nikken Sekkei (Japan) and Joan Pascual & Ramon Ausió Arquitectes.
Now the seven remaining bids are presented to the public by FC Barcelona and Col·legi d'Arquitectes de Catalunya (Catalonian College of Architects). Mockups and selected printed renderings will be available for viewing at Col·legi’s premises until June 2.
