Al-Shabab Stadium – stadium description

The stadium is home to renown multi-section sports club Al-Shabab and is the centrepiece of a major sports complex in Dubai. Apart from the main stadium there are three training pitches, indoor hall, tennis and basketball courts.

The ground bears the name of sheikh Maktoum, UEA prime minister and Dubai ruler, who passed away in 2006. Interestingly, the structure is identical with Al-Rashid stadium in another part of Dubai, only differing in club colours.

Apart from Al-Shabab's home games a number of international tournaments took place here, including youth tournaments gathering young players from Asian, European and South American descent in both club and national team clashes.
