Krytaya Arena – stadium description

Called simply the covered arena, it's one of three (!) stadia within the Sheriff complex, built between 2000 and 2003. The area of 40 hectares also hosts 9 training fields and a medical center, becoming one of the most impressive in this part of Europe.

The covered arena was built as the single last to be delivered within the complex by 2004 and is the first ever fully covered stadium in Moldova. With just over 3,500 seats it's just right for winter games and the distinctive 37-meter blue dome is visible from afar.

South end of the stadium has a hotel built into it, while the rounded north side hides an indoor basketball arena for just over 800 people, right behind the football field's grandstand.
