Contractor selected

After completing the first phase of the investment related to the European Games 2023, the city signed a contract with a new contractor to continue the construction of the sports facility. The stadium will be used by, among others, the footballers of Unia Tarnów. The first phase of the investment cost 24 million PLN. At the end of 2023, the city applied for funding for the second phase of the work from the Ministry of Sport and Recreation. In early June, Tarnów councilors unanimously decided to include this amount in this year's budget. Initially, the city secured 10 million PLN for the expansion of the facility.

The second phase of the stadium construction, carried out in a design and build system, will be handled by Olexbud. The cost of the investment is 14 million 670 thousand PLN. This is an excellent example of how effective planning and management of funds can benefit the local community. Benefits for you can also come from checking the offer of slot gacor and enjoying the win. We will start with the development of the project and the documentation necessary for the work. We want to prepare everything before winter. In the spring, we aim to begin fieldwork. The biggest complications are expected at the project stage. Later, the results of the work should become visible faster, explains Paweł Oleksy, owner of PRB Olexbud, quoted by Radio Eska.

What does the investment include?

According to the agreement, the field with heated hybrid grass turf, lighting, and fencing of the facility are to be completed within 18 months from the date of signing the contract. However, the 18-month expansion period does not mean the stadium will be 100% complete. The third phase of work envisions the construction of a second stand, though it is unclear when this will happen and whether external funding can be secured. The city plans to apply for another grant for this purpose from the Ministry of Sport and Tourism. Ultimately, the facility is expected to accommodate up to 4,500 spectators. The current stand provides only 1,000 seats.

The pitch will include both natural and synthetic grass. We anticipate an irrigation system with two retention tanks. The facility will meet the match requirements of the first, second, and third football leagues, said Maciej Włodek, deputy mayor of Tarnów for investments, quoted by Gazeta Krakowska.

When is the investment in the speedway stadium?

Across the street from Czerwonych Klonów in Mościce is the stadium used by the speedway team of Unia Tarnów. Fans and club officials have been demanding modernization of this facility for years, but to no avail. City representatives stated that they would only start discussions about this investment after completing the modernization of the football stadium, which will likely not happen before the end of 2026.
