Scope of investment

The investment includes the construction of two stands with more than 5,600 seats, along with roofing, sanitary and service facilities, lighting, sound system and monitoring. Both stands - eastern and western - will be built simultaneously.

Fans are obviously enjoying the progress and can't wait for all the stands to be operational. Before that happens, however, many of them also choose online entertainment, including the sports betting website, through which they can combine watching matches with the opportunity to earn money.

The work will be carried out so that the stadium on Struga Street can be used while it is under construction. Upon completion, the capacity of the stadium will increase to nearly 15,000 seats. The tender does not include the façade of the stadium; another tender will be issued for this work.

Work progress

More and more photos are appearing on the internet showing the progress of the work on the stand behind the gate from Stanisława Zbrowskiego Street. At the moment, the focus is on earthworks, including the construction of the footings for the pillars.

The location of the visitors' sector, which will be built in the north-west corner and will include sectors G1, G2, G3, G4, is now known.

Changes in financing

An extraordinary session of the Radom City Council was held on June 12, during which the spending limits for the investment project Construction of a football stadium in terms of the eastern and western stands at Struga Street in Radom were amended. An increase in expenditure by PLN 4 million in 2024 and by PLN 13 million in 2025 and a decrease by PLN 17 million in 2026 results from the schedule of transferring tranches of funding from the Government Fund.

The President of Radom City Council, Mateusz Tyczynski, said that the increase in this year's expenditure would make it possible to shorten the deadline for the completion of the stadium. Although it has not been stated exactly how much the construction time will be shortened, the investment will probably be completed before 2026.

The club asked for a loan

In May, the club's president, Slawomir Stempniewski, asked the mayor and city council councillors for financial support. The club requested a loan of PLN 2 million for day-to-day operations. The board reported that the club is in a difficult situation due to investments in sports infrastructure, including the construction of a training base at Koniówka and the high cost of its maintenance. The investment has already consumed PLN 20 million and the monthly maintenance of the training facilities costs the club PLN 60,000 - 70,000. The president also pointed out that the club has invested several hundred thousand zlotys in finishing and furnishing the rooms at the Radom Sports Centre.

The club is also feeling the impact of a loan taken out to install a turf heating system at the Bronia Radom stadium, which cost PLN 1.5 million. The loan is still being repaid. Since the beginning of 2024, Radomiak has acted as the operator of the Radom Sports Centre stadium, which entails maintenance costs of more than PLN 150,000 per month, or PLN 1.8 million per year.

The investment expenses incurred in recent years and the very high maintenance costs of the sports facilities have put the club in a difficult situation, which threatens to lose its financial liquidity in the near future. Without the help of the city, Radomiak will not be able to function normally and carry out sports activities, wrote Sławomir Stempniewski. On May 27, councillors agreed to give Radomiak a loan in the amount requested.
