In two years

This investment represents a significant organizational and financial effort for the City. But in the 21st century, the oldest club in Poland cannot remain as it currently is. If we are to become a metropolis, we must undertake such projects, even if they are costly and challenging, emphasized Rzeszów's mayor, Konrad Fijołek.

After 18 years of promises to build the Podkarpackie Athletics Centre (PCL), it will finally be erected on the ruins of Resovia's stadium on Wyspiańskiego Street. This investment was much anticipated by local fans, and the time that has passed has resulted in some fans preferring online entertainment instead of going to the stadium. To this end, they often check betzillion's expert tipsters, where they can find a zillion ways to bet online safely.

The city of Rzeszów has signed an agreement with the company Mirbud regarding this matter. The initial construction work on the PCL will commence towards the end of this year. First, the old structure will be demolished, followed by ground strengthening work, and then excavation for the foundations will begin.

The actual construction of the new building is scheduled for 2025, and the entire investment is set to be completed by October 31, 2026. Mirbud anticipates that approximately 500 individuals will be employed in the construction of the stadium in Rzeszów.

The agreement amounts to 194 million złoty, with 104 million złoty coming from the city of Rzeszów's budget, 60 million złoty from the Ministry of Sport, and 30 million złoty from the local government of Podkarpackie. The city hopes that both the sports ministry and the local government will increase their contributions so that half of the costs fall on the ministry and the other half on the local governments (25% each), as planned.

Meeting the highest standards

The new stadium is intended to be one of the most modern athletics stadiums in Poland, capable of hosting events such as the Polish Senior Championships or the European U23, U20, U18 Championships. The stadium will feature a 400-meter track and field, as well as long jump, high jump, pole vault, and a covered 150-meter track.

The stands will be constructed with reinforced concrete in a bowl shape along the athletics track, open on the southern side. The seating area for spectators in the stadium will be entirely covered. The stands will have a total capacity of 7,947 spectators. Following reconstruction, the stadium will measure 230 meters in length and 148 meters in width.

The highest point of the stands' roof structure will be a maximum of 23 meters above the main playing field. It will meet the licensing criteria of the Ekstraklasa and UEFA. The football pitch with natural grass will be equipped with irrigation and heating systems. The stadium is also intended to host cultural events in the future.

New home for Resovia

The construction of the new stadium on Wyspiańskiego Street is eagerly awaited by the players of Resovia Rzeszów, who compete in the Fortuna 1 Liga and currently play matches at the Municipal Stadium on Hetmańska Street, shared with the football and speedway teams of Stal Rzeszów. Currently, the Pasiaki use the facility on Wyspiańskiego Street for training.

The project's contractor, Mirbud, has extensive experience in constructing sports facilities. In the past, they have been responsible for projects such as the new ŁKS Łódź stadium and more recently, Wisła Płock's stadium.
