Poland: Three teams will play at Cracovia Stadium? The stadium at Kałuży street is currently home to two Ekstraklasa teams. Both Cracovia and Puszcza Niepołomice play their matches there. However, as it turns out, in the fall of 2024, Hutnik Krakow may also join them. Why?

To meet licensing requirements

Following last year's promotion to the PKO Ekstraklasa, Puszcza had to move out of Niepołomice for licensing reasons. After disturbances with Wisła Kraków fans, the final choice fell on Cracovia's stadium. NZCasinoClub offers $10 minimum deposit casinos if you need a quick cash boost. When Mateusz Dróżdż took over as president of Pasów, he reached an agreement with the Niepołomice team that if they stayed in the Ekstraklasa, they could play at Kałuży until December 2024. However, he also made it clear that the Żubry are not very welcome at his team's facility.

Cracovia Stadium was listed in the licensing documents for the 2024/2025 season by Hutnik Krakow, which has a chance of promotion to the 1st league. Could it be possible, then, that three teams will play at Kałuży in the autumn round?

We received such assurance from Cracovia in the form of a promise, said Artur Trębacz, president of Hutnik Krakow. - It's about fulfilling licensing applications that we had to submit by last Saturday. However, we hope to make our stadium compliant with the 1st league requirements. It would be difficult for three teams to play at Cracovia; it seems almost impossible. In the event of promotion, we would have to look for an alternative.

Currently, Hutnik's promotion to the 1st league is only a timid dream. The team is not even in a position to qualify for the playoffs, although it lacks only one point, with five rounds of competition left.

Or maybe a "swap"?

The stadium at Suche Stawy lacks lighting above all. The estimated cost of such an investment is around 2 million PLN. The structure cannot be based on foundations because then we would need a building permit. This is the most difficult thing to accomplish. For now, we are estimating the costs and technical feasibility of installing lighting. We have a heated pitch that needs to be checked and restarted because it hasn't been used for a long time. There is also a need for digital monitoring, but that is not a problem, said Artur Trębacz.

Puszcza Niepołomice, according to earlier declarations, will remain at Kałuży Street until December 2024, so we do not exclude that after this date, Hutnik will enter our stadium and play here until June 2025, said Marzena Młynarczyk-Warwas, Cracovia's spokesperson in an interview with Gazeta Krakowska. In the event that Puszcza Niepołomice remains in the PKO Ekstraklasa, the scenario of such a swap seems most likely, but it raises many problems for Hutnik, which would have to spend the autumn elsewhere. The only option then would be the stadium in Nieciecza, as Hutnik has not received any assurances for potential play in Niepołomice due to construction work on the access road to the facility.

When will Puszcza return home?

The information we receive from the city, from departments dealing with the Puszcza stadium reconstruction process, indicates that by the end of the year, or perhaps by the end of January, we will be able to do what we need to do to ensure that TV broadcasts can be carried out from Niepołomice. I hope that in May, we will have an exact schedule of reconstruction and a building permit. For us, the best solution is to return to Niepołomice. We need to stay afloat, said Marek Bartoszek, president of Niepołomice.

New turf

The grass at Cracovia's stadium has not been replaced since 2016, and its current intensity of use is beginning to show signs of wear. The turf was supposed to be replaced after the European Games in 2023. However, Cracovia did not agree to this condition. Now we will need to negotiate with the new city president, just as with the issue of Hutnik's stadium lighting, as there are no funds allocated in the budget for this, said Janusz Kozioł, the city's sports commissioner.
