England: Etihad and Emirates will be prepared for potential title celebrations Both Manchester City and Arsenal could clinch the English Premier League title on Sunday, during the final round of Premier League matches. Pep Guardiola's side holds a two-point advantage over the Gunners. All matches of the final round will kick off simultaneously. So what about the trophy?

Two trophies

The Premier League authorities have found a solution to this dilemma. On that day, identical trophies will be waiting at the Etihad and Emirates stadiums, allowing the trophy to be presented to the team that secures the championship right after the final whistle. The two stadiums are over 200 miles apart, so transporting the trophy would involve a lengthy delay.

There are two identical Premier League trophies, each with an engraved base listing previous champions. At the end of each season, one of these trophies goes to the winning club, while the other remains with the league.

Each stadium will also have 40 medals available. Every player who has appeared in a minimum of five Premier League matches this season will receive this award, with the rest being distributed at the club's discretion among the coaching staff, players, and officials. Both venues will be set up exactly the same way, featuring banners, podiums, and a fireworks display.
