England: Another stage of Bramley-Moore Dock construction begins Despite financing challenges, construction of Everton's new stadium is progressing at full steam. Earthworks have commenced at the pitch location and are expected to continue for the next several months. However, additional issues have arisen in connection with the investment. What's the matter?

Will there be carpet?

The first step involves excavating the piling mat, which is a layer of recycled stone laid on compacted sand beneath the stadium to provide a solid surface for construction vehicles and machinery to operate on. Impermeable membranes will then be laid down to serve as a barrier for subsequent stages of work. Above these, a hot air system will be installed to control the turf heating. This will be placed beneath a drainage system, which will also facilitate water storage for irrigation. Additionally, heating pipes and a layer of gravel will be incorporated.

Above this will be only the lower and upper root zones and the grass. It is estimated that grass seeding will begin in August and continue until early October, after which specialized machines will sew synthetic fibers into the grass roots to reinforce and provide a solid surface. These fibers will cover about 5% of the playing surface and are designed to integrate with the naturally growing grass, ensuring durability and longevity.

Dark clouds over investment

A glass company involved in Laing O'Rourke's construction of Everton Stadium has ceased operations. This occurred just a month after the installation of the first batch of facade panels at Everton Stadium. The order included delivering cladding walls, aluminum rain screens, and composite linings to the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium in February 2023.

Last month, the company announced on LinkedIn that it was making great progress on the prestigious Everton Stadium project. It added that it was in the process of installing glazing on the sloping cladding wall from the south side. Alucraft also installed the first batch of facade panels and planned for further installations. It's unclear if they have since completed work at the stadium. The contract was for delivering cladding walls, aluminum rain screens, and composite linings to the new stadium in February 2023, two months before work commenced on-site. Alucraft also installed the first batch of facade panels and planned for further installations. It's unclear if they have since completed work at the stadium.
