Central Europe: Polish Cup final without supporters of a big club? Wisła Kraków are returning to the Polish Cup final after 16 years. The team's fans have not attended any away games this season. They missed the first two league matches due to a penalty imposed back in the previous season, and then a boycott began. Will they be able to go to Warsaw?

Wisla risked withdrawal from the final

Wisla Kraków is returning to the Polish Cup final after 16 years. It will certainly be a great celebration for its fans. The club's fans were threatened with a ban on going to this match for the events of the match against Motor Lublin, which is still in effect. The president of Biała Gwiazdy, Jaroslaw Królewski, shortly after winning promotion to the final, announced on his profile on the X portal that if the fans were not allowed into the PGE Narodowy, Wisla would give the match a walkover.

He also announced that he would submit an appropriate application to the Polish Football Association (PZPN) in this regard, referring to the situation of Lech Poznan in 2017. At the time, PZPN's Supreme Appeals Committee suspended an exit ban for Lech Poznan fans. This allowed them to go to the National Stadium, where the team played in the final against Arka Gdynia.

Although Wisła Kraków currently plays in the second tier of football league competition in Poland, it is one of the most successful clubs in the country. It also has a huge fan base that often fills the club's stadium. At the same time, many people, including fans, choose online entertainment - for this purpose they visit bet365 football, where they find odds, bet types, bonuses and more.

PZPN suspended the penalty

The case of the Wisla Krakow fans was handled by members of the Disciplinary Committee of the Polish Football Association. They discussed at the request of the Spokesman for the Protection of Union Law, Marcin Ilkow. They debated whether, based on the regulations and the situation, it was possible to go easy on the club. The position of the Football Facilities Safety Commission of the Polish Football Association was also reviewed. On Wednesday, April 10, the PZPN Disciplinary Committee issued a communiqué on the matter. The fans' punishment was suspended for a trial period of three years.

At the same time, the association warns Wisla and its fans that they will be closely watched during the final: The Disciplinary Committee further instructs the club and the fans that in the event of repeated violations of the rules of safety and order in the stadium, it will be obliged to apply the most severe disciplinary penalties, including the club's exclusion from future Polish Cup games.
