USA: Pitchside VIP seats at Snapdragon Stadium! The newest mark on California's football map has not even played in MLS yet, and it has already caused quite a surprise. San Diego FC's plans go beyond the previously established framework of hosting premium visitors. And it won't stop with the boxes.

American club in MLS reforms standards of VIP offers for fans

According to the published Hospitality plans for the wealthiest spectators, Snapdragon Stadium will offer pitch boxes unprecedented at this level. These are to be comfortable seats with storage for their belongings, located right next to the substitutes' benches, with the players close at hand. In addition, lucky ticket holders will be able to count on all-inclusive food and beverage service, access to business class facilities and their own parking space. The price for such a service has not yet been announced by San Diego FC, but it is reasonable to believe that the attraction will certainly not be cheap. Regular VIP boxes in the stands and seats at the special Sycuan Piers bar in the southern part of the venue have also been included in the offer.

Commenters on X with mixed feelings about the plans

The published visuals of the special VIP seats have caused a lot of commotion, above all on the X platform (former Twitter). Under one of the posts, most commenters pointed out the lack of a canopy over the seats, which in unsettled weather could cause a lot of problems for the fans. Some also suggested stocking up on appropriate sunscreens in case of high temperatures and cloudless sky.

Others, however, pointed out that most MLS matches are played in the evening, making the sun not a big problem. There were also comments from those who are looking forward to the opening of these special ticket sales.

MLS matches at Snapdragon Stadium from 2025

North America's largest football league will undergo an unprecedented expansion, allowing in total 30 teams to participate. Among the invited clubs is San Diego FC, considered a promising project by Egyptian Mohamed Mansour, who is willing to pay the league $500 million to participate in MLS. California will thus be the only state in the US with such a sizable club representation (the aforementioned San Diego FC, LA Galaxy, Los Angeles FC and San Jose Earthquakes).
