Poland: Speedway returns to country's second largest stadium In 2013, for the first time ever, the individual European speedway championships featured Grand Prix riders, thus increasing the importance of the competition. Since then, the championship has been promoted under the name Speedway Euro Championship. This time the prestigious event will be held in Poland.

Increasing reputation of the European Speedway Championships

After two tournaments were held in Chorzów in 2018-2019, the organisers decided that Stadion Śląski would once again host the competition as part of the final round of the SEC. Until 2012, the competition featured riders who were often found in vain in the biggest international events.

It is only since the takeover of the championship by One Sport that it has gained the prestige it deserves. The 2013 European Individual Championships gained a new quality. Instead of a one-day final, the best speedway riders of the Old Continent compete for the title, medals and financial prizes in a series of four final tournaments. The 2024 schedule envisages that the finals of at least six tournaments will take place on Polish speedway tracks, culminating right here in Chorzów on September 21. Fans are very much looking forward to this event, all the more so as it will take place in such a unique venue. There will also certainly be young speedway fans in the stands to take a break from their daily routines. During them, they often wonder, can someone do my assignment online? Fortunately, they can submit an order and watch their grades rise without the usual pressure.

Looking forward to speedway excitement in Chorzów

The promoter of the TAURON Speedway Euro Championship series is One Sport, whose co-owner and CEO, Karol Lejman, is already looking forward to the grand finale: We are returning to Stadion Śląski because the European Individual Champion deserves to receive the trophy in front of tens of thousands of fans. Silesia is a region where fans live speedway, so the idea to bring them all together in the stands of the legendary stadium seems apt. With two finals played at Stadion Śląski, we are convinced that competition, both in terms of sport and organisation, will be at the highest possible level, said Lejman. - Lejman said.

The president of the European Motorcycle Federation, Michal Sikora, added to this by mentioning the rich history of the competition in Chorzow: It is fantastic news that the Speedway Euro Championship is once again returning to the Stadion Śląski after five years. It is a legendary venue for Polish speedway. It was in Chorzów, 50 years ago, that the first gold medal for Poland was won by the irreverent Jerzy Szczakiel. I'm really built up by this news as I remember the SEC events of 2018 and 2019. I'm glad that the SEC series is still growing and the Promoters are looking for opportunities to provide fans and riders with unforgettable memories. I am already looking forward to September 21, - explained the FIM Europe President.
