Modernization of VIP Zone

According to DeichStube, extensive modernization work will be carried out in the northern VIP zone of Werder Bremen's facility, with a capacity of approximately 1100 seats. A new area will be added to the fourth tower on the third level, and nearly everything on the two floors above will be redesigned to create a special space for various events. Conferences and receptions for up to 250 people can take place there. An open terrace will be a highlight, offering views of both the city panorama and on-field events.

Enhancing catering quality

Starting from the 2024/2025 season, Supreme Sports Hospitality GmbH will be responsible for catering at Werder's stadium. The Frankfurt-based company has signed a long-term contract with Bremer Weserstadion GmbH (BWS), half-owned by the club and the city of Bremen. In the past, the quality of food and service speed, both in VIP and general-access areas, has been criticized. BWS is now counting on better times and, above all, increased revenue.

Fans should have the opportunity to purchase products more quickly, leading to higher consumption. In the VIP zone, there will no longer be a buffet; instead, food will be served on plates (Plating). The goal is to improve quality and reduce costs, making it more efficient. BWS Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board, Kristina Vogt, has already announced that fish and vegan dishes will be offered in public areas in the future. Additionally, the beer price is expected to remain stable.

Investment costs

The estimated costs for stadium modernization, catering changes, and improved digital presentation in other stadium areas, including kiosks, amount to €10 million. The new catering company will cover half of this with a signing fee, while the other half will be covered by BWS, which will profit from higher revenues projected from events held in the new spaces and increased sales. BWS trusts the new catering company, which has experience in working and selling at stadiums, servicing the arena of Sporting Lisbon and Eintracht Frankfurt stadium.
