Further extending its global presence, AEG Facilities (division of AEG), the world’s leading sports and live entertainment company, announced today that the company has officially begun operational activities on a long-term agreement to provide pre-opening and management services at Stadio della Roma, the new state-of the-art-stadium being developed in Rome that will be home to AS Roma.

Under the terms of the agreement, the newly launched AEG Facilities Global Solutions will provide diverse pre-opening services during final design and construction periods with AEG Facilities continuing to provide full management and support services including event programming, purchasing through AEG’s global purchasing network, vendor venue services, sustainability consulting through AEG1Earth and event day operations for the venue including event staff training through AEG’s proprietary Encore program following the stadium’s opening.

The planned 52,500-seat facility is expected to start construction in early 2017 and is anticipated to open for the 2019–2020 Italian Serie A season.
