Penn State University is surveying fans to check what needs urgent improvements at Beaver Stadium, the world’s third largest football venue.
While creating the new master plan for sports facilities, Pennsylvania State University is asking fans in special survey what they’d change first in Beaver Stadium. The nearly 107,000-capacity ground underwent last major upgrade in 2001 and it’s time to consider further improvements.
The online survey is being distributed to thousands of season ticket holders, students, alumni and others. In a separate survey readers of PennLive.com suggested seating as the most pressing issue. In numerous comments also weather protection at the open-air ground was listed.
It’s not clear at this point what changes could be possible at the stadium and to what extent. The survey is expected to give Penn State Athletics a better understanding of what’s needed by the students.
