FC Utrecht was complimented on their new grass pattern at Galgenwaard that they went a step further than other clubs. Fans themselves can indicate what pattern will be adapted next.
During Saturday’s Eredivisie game between FC Utrecht and SC Cambuur the field at Galgenwaard was cut in a very interesting pattern. The club received a very positive feedback about it and so they decided to go a step further.
Now FC Utrecht are inviting everyone to submit their ideas of how the next grass cutting should change the field’s appearance. All entries submitted to the club’s greenkeeper Johan van Amerongen (firstname.lastname@example.org) by October 16 will be taken into account.
As the keeper himself admitted, creating the current tartan pattern took a week’s work for several people. Cutting the grass in different angles was labour-intensive, but as van Amerongen admitted the positive reception was worth it.
