After years in red colours of Coca-Cola, repainting of Kenya’s Nyayo Stadium began. This time it’s a partnership deal with Britam, who will also pay for facility upgrades.
Britam Insurance Company have signed a two year branding deal to uplift Nyayo National Stadium. The Sh80million ($870,000 / €800,000) deal will run until the beginning of 2017.
“We advertised for the deal and Britam came on top with their offer. The deal is just for branding and does not include name change,” a top official at Sports Kenya told Goal.com.
Previously the stadium had a facelift sponsored by Coca-Cola, who in return were able to brand the stadium, providing its current red colours. However, Britam Company have already started painting Nyayo Stadium in their popular blue colours. They will also upgrade the dressing room and other facilities inside the stadium.
