While the south stand’s new upper tier reached its final height, we invite you for a brief journey into past and future of Manchester City’s home. These unique photos show what the stadium looked and will look like.
We’ve already presented many renderings of the Etihad Stadium expansion, but the usual “artist’s impressions” aren’t as realistic as photos. So, today we take you for a photo-realistic tour of the Etihad Stadium alterations.
The materials may be somewhat less impressive than regular renders, but they’re part of official documentation and show how the stadium will look like from various perspectives once finished. Using this occasion we need to thank RMB for finding and sharing these images.
Below you’ll find different angles shot before the expansion even began (2013) and their updated version at varying stages. 2015 is when the south stand will be delivered, while 2018 marks the delivery of north stand’s upper deck. Please note the question mark for 2018, it’s their because the exact time frame for the last phase is yet to be established.
