On October 15 Joe Tacopina finalized the takeover of Bologna FC, which may mean a farewell to Stadio Renato Dall’Ara in the near future. Together with his commercial partners Tacopina wants to build a new stadium.

Detailed information should be revealed around the end of the season, which Bologna are hoping to end in promotion spot to regain their place in Serie A. One thing certain is that the ground would be built within or close to the current one.

“We have the support of the mayor and the city and try to up the tempo as much as possible because we want to give Bologna a stunning home for football. I imagine that it will cost about € 60 million. At the time of Baggio in Bologna there were 30,000 subscribers and it still has the same passion and the same enthusiasm”, said Tacopina.
