USA: New record for stadium video board set Previous record was owned by Texas-based Cowboys Stadium and the new one didn't go far, too. New giants screens at Reliant Stadium are far wider, giving them larger surface. Each stands at 1,352 sqm (or 14,549 sqf)!

Reliant Stadium was recently the last NFL ground not to have a modern giant screen. But in late 2012 it was announced that video boards will be created on both ends, replacing old ones and advertising space.

Now two panoramic screens have been presented with total surface of 14,549 sqf (or 1,352 sqm) each, beating the 2009 record holders, local league rivals, Dallas Cowboys. The AT&T Stadium screen is taller, but much shorter and has thus smaller surface, standing at 11,520 sqf (or 1,070 sqm).

The $16 million upgrade of Reliant Stadium was financed entirely with public resources, but authorities assure that advertising capabilities of the new giant screens and new events brought with it will allow for fast recoup of the cost.
