As in previous Euro tournaments, the opening ceremony will be a rather modest one. Duration is estimated at 12 minutes with 800 volunteers and artists from 63 countries taking part.

Marco Balich will be the director, man you may recall from opening and closing ceremonies during Turin’s Winter Olympics as well as the opening of Donbass Arena in Donetsk.

What we’ll see and hear is still more of a secret, but surely Chopin’s op. 25 no. 11 will be played and its performer is Adam Gyorgy, former indoor football player of Hungarian national team. The message is so far a rather general one – values like passion, unity and rivalry will be promoted as well as participating countries, obviously.
