Chang Arena – stadium description
Construction Works started on October 4th 2010 and ended in less than a year. For such a short period, the result seems very fair – a 23,500-seater with most fans having roof over their heads. There are four separate stands and those alongside the pitch provide roof.
Only one of them has more to offer, though. The main grandstand is also the most interesting one with a dark blue façade with entrance relating to traditional Thai architecture. Only slightly and only on the outside as the interior provides the same infrastructure one would find in most modern grounds. There are two large conference halls, several smaller rooms above and finally, on top, skyboxes for the richest fans.
Interestingly, each of the stands provides room for disabled supporters (24 per stand), including the away section. The club claims one of the end stands is dedicated to away groups with over 4,600 seats, but reality shows that when smaller groups come, home fans are the majority.
