Stade Omnisports Idriss Mahamat Ouya – stadium description
The stadium, located near the hippodrome, not far from the center of Chad's capital, N'Djamena, was inaugurated in 1973. Until the opening of the new Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno in 2025, it was the largest and most important stadium in the country.
The facility is equipped with a tartan athletics track and artificial lighting, and the capacity of the stands is estimated at 20,000 spectators. The venue is named after high jumper Idriss Mahamat Ouya, an Olympian and national record holder.
