Crowds at Estadio Bicentenario
On the morning of Sunday, May 31, Estadio Bicentenario in La Florida became a unique meeting point for football fans and collectors. More than 8,000 people, mostly children and teenagers, gathered to take part in the so-called cambiatón
— a massive exchange of stickers from the official 2026 FIFA World Cup album produced by the renowned Italian brand Panini.
Interest in the event significantly exceeded the organizers’ expectations. The stadium turned into a vibrant and colorful space filled with the joy of shared collecting. Participants arrived not only from La Florida but from across Santiago. In an atmosphere of friendly competition, many attendees managed to complete missing parts of their collections, while some even finished their entire albums.
The event offered more than just sticker swapping. Food trucks, themed stands, and an official Panini sales point were available on site, allowing visitors to purchase additional sticker packs. Organizers also prepared extra attractions, including contests and family-oriented activities.

The largest swap event in Chile
La Florida mayor Daniel Reyes highlighted the importance of the initiative for the local community, noting that young people often gather for such activities in public spaces like squares or shopping centers, where safety cannot always be guaranteed. For this reason, the stadium was made available as a safe and family-friendly venue.
Referring to attendance, he emphasized that the turnout exceeded all expectations. He added that the strong response from residents demonstrates a clear demand for safe, well-organized spaces where families from La Florida and across Santiago can spend time together.
The Grand Swap
has been recognized as the largest event of its kind in Chile. Its organization responded to the growing challenges faced by collectors this year, as the World Cup album — expanded due to the tournament’s new 48-team format — includes more than 980 stickers. The overwhelming interest has already prompted local authorities to consider future editions of the initiative.
