Bielsko-Biała is stepping up preparations to host the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup by upgrading key sports infrastructure. The city has launched a tender for the replacement of the Municipal Stadium pitch to meet international standards. Strong interest from contractors suggests the project could be delivered below the initial budget.

City authorities have allocated PLN 2.34 million for the project, but the bids submitted by contractors are lower – the cheapest amounts to approximately PLN 1.64 million, while the highest slightly exceeds PLN 2.07 million. This creates an opportunity to optimize costs while maintaining the full scope of work. The tender covers not only the replacement of the turf, but also the preparation of a comprehensive training infrastructure to be used by teams during matches and training sessions. The key reason for accelerating the investment is the upcoming tournament mentioned above. Bielsko-Biała has been selected as one of the host cities.
