The project for the construction of the new Stadio Città di Arezzo has reached a breakthrough stage. After months of administrative procedures and technical analyses, the investment has received a positive opinion from the Italian State Property Agency, marking the final key formal step before full approval.

The construction process has been planned in a way that allows the stadium to remain in use throughout the works. The project will take approximately five years and will be divided into four phases. Thanks to phased demolition and reconstruction of individual stands, SS Arezzo will not need to relocate its matches to another venue, reducing logistical costs and maintaining a strong connection with fans.

Arezzo stadium construction timeline until 2030

The investment has been divided into two main timeframes. Between 2026 and 2028, demolition and reconstruction of the maratona stand and the away sector are planned, along with the repositioning of the pitch. Then, between 2029 and 2030, works will focus on the Minghelli stand and the modernisation of the main stand. The entire project is scheduled for completion by December 2030.

Arezzo stadium project in line with Italian stadium law

The investment in Stadio Città di Arezzo is one of the first projects implemented under Italy’s so-called stadium law. This means simplified administrative procedures and greater flexibility in planning sports infrastructure.
