Historic start of works

CS Dinamo representatives confirmed on Facebook the moment fans have been waiting for for years. The big day has arrived. Today, January 19, 2026, the construction of the new Dinamo stadium has officially begun, the club announced. The National Investment Company handed over the site to the construction consortium led by BOG'Art, which has 25 months to complete the main works.

However, there are spheres of life where waiting years for the final result is not an option, and users expect immediate access. In the digital world, where speed and convenience count, solutions allowing for tests are increasingly sought after. An example of such an option is the 5€ no deposit bonus, whose offers are superb for testing games and enhancing your winnings.

The consortium also includes ACI Cluj, Dico & Țigănaș Architecture Bureau, and UTI Construction and Facility Management. The construction site is located in the Ștefan cel Mare district of Bucharest, on the site of the previous stadium.

Decline of legendary Bucharest Arena

The current Dinamo stadium has served the club since 1951. The facility underwent multiple modernizations at the turn of the 21st century, including the installation of plastic seats and artificial lighting. However, recent years have brought a significant deterioration in its condition, and long-standing uncertainty regarding its legal status prevented necessary renovations.

The stadium, which for decades was the pride of the club operating under the aegis of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, ceased to meet modern standards. The technical condition of the arena became the main argument for accelerating work on the new project.

What will new Dinamo Bucharest stadium look like?

On May 16, 2023, during the club's 75th-anniversary celebrations at the Athenaeum in Bucharest, Minister of Internal Affairs Lucian Bode presented the latest concept for the Dinamo stadium. Originally, the demolition of the old facility was supposed to begin in September 2023, with the opening planned for 2026. Subsequent procedural delays pushed this date back, but this time implementation has officially kicked off.

The new stadium will hold 25,059 spectators in fully covered stands. The facility will meet UEFA Category 4 standards and will have a typical football layout. The arena will be equipped with four modern changing rooms, functional rooms, skyboxes, premium seats, and a press box. Hospitality spaces, wheelchair accessible areas, kiosks, and restaurants have also been designed. Modernized sanitary infrastructure and full accessibility for people with disabilities are to be the standard of the new facility.

Since Dinamo is a multi-sports club, the complex will include much more than just a football stadium. The building will house training halls for boxing, weightlifting, judo, wrestling, gymnastics, fitness, and fencing. The design also includes residential, technical, and storage rooms.

Part of the investment will be a club museum and a hotel. An emergency SMURD helicopter landing pad will also be built within the complex, intended to serve the nearby hospital on a daily basis. An exhibition area is also planned.

The cost of the entire investment is estimated at over 140 million €, making it one of the most ambitious sports projects in Romania in recent years. Completion of construction is scheduled for 2028.
