USA: Fans clear snow from Highmark Stadium… for the last time For the last time in history – unless a crazy scenario materializes – Buffalo Bills fans rush to clear snow from Highmark Stadium before an NFL match. With only one day left until the game, the stadium is completely covered in snow.

In their now traditional announcement, as they do every year, the Buffalo Bills asked adult fans for help after Orchard Park has been covered in snow. The club is offering $20 per hour plus food and hot drinks in exchange for clearing snow from Highmark Stadium before Sunday's game. The 53-year-old venue, instead of presenting a green pitch and blue stands, is now completely white.

As an additional incentive, the Bills are also promising winter gloves with the stadium logo for the first 500 volunteers. They are also providing snow shovels. Meanwhile, the club's sponsor, Bud Light, will be handing out winter hats to fans. The one that decide to help can work in two shifts – from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The last snow removal at Highmark Stadium

Although clearing snow from the stadium together is a tradition for Bills fans, Saturday's edition is likely to be the last. Sunday's match against the New York Jets marks the end of the NFL regular season. The Bills' will begin the 2026 season already at the New Highmark Stadium, with covered stands and a roof equipped with unique snow-melting equipment.

Among Buffalo fans, there is still hope that the team will continue its adventure at the old Highmark Stadium. The team has earned a wild card, which gives it the right to play in the playoffs.

If the Bills beat the New York Jets and the Houston Texans and LA Chargers lose their matches, Buffalo would finish as the 5th seed. In that scenario, if there was a surprise in the Wild Card round and lower-seeded teams eliminated higher seeds - specifically, the 7th seed defeated the 2nd seed - the Bills could host the 6th seed in the divisional round, which would give them home-field advantage.

However, the chances of this happening are extremely slim. As Buffalo Bills On SI points out, a wild card team has never hosted an AFC Championship game. So everything seems to indicate that Saturday's snow removal is a preview of the farewell to the iconic Highmark Stadium.
