Atlético de Madrid is preparing a true visual revolution for its fans. At the Metropolitano Stadium, the installation of a 360-degree video scoreboard has been completed, and starting with the upcoming La Liga season, it will transform the matchday experience.

Final touches at the stadium

Atlético de Madrid will unveil several changes at its ground this season, with the most striking being the elliptical LED video scoreboard. Reports of testing appeared on the @atm_albiceleste account on X, where images of trial projections were shared. Mundo Deportivo confirmed that the works are in their final stage and everything will be operational on schedule.

The new installation at Riyadh Air Metropolitano was made possible through a strategic partnership with LG, which provided the technology to turn the venue into one of the most advanced stadiums on the continent.

Alongside two large screens and a ribbon board, the ground now features a 400 m² LED ring and a lighting system capable of synchronizing with soundtracks and visual shows. The 360º screen will serve not only as a scoreboard but also as a platform for displaying match information, lighting effects, and advertising content.

Premiere at "Welcome Night 2025"

Fans will see the new installation for the first time on August 21, during the all-day celebration Welcome Night 2025. This traditional event showcases Atlético’s men’s, women’s, and Atlético Madrileño teams. This year, supporters will also be introduced to new first-team signings such as Álex Baena, Thiago Almada, David Hancko, and Giacomo Raspadori.

The stage will also feature performances by artists including Dani Fernández, with organizers promising further surprises. Club members can collect free invitations online or at Atlético’s customer service office, while the general public can purchase tickets for €12. More than 20,000 fans are already confirmed to attend the event.
