C.D. Leganés has announced that in the coming weeks it will increase the capacity of the Ontime Butarque stadium. The decision comes in response to exceptional fan interest this season, with the number of season ticket holders already surpassing 10,000.

Modular stand after three to four matches
The plan involves installing a modular stand on one of the lower tiers of the stadium. Season ticket prices for the new section are set to start at €195. The aim is not only to break the club’s previous record for season ticket holders but also to guarantee a seat for every fan who wants one.
While the club is taking steps to improve accessibility for its supporters, the final results will take some time. However, in the world of entertainment, there is little room for long waits. Speed, availability and freedom of choice are what matter most — which is why online pokie machines, offering top bonuses and fast payment methods, are becoming increasingly popular.
Once completed, the capacity of Ontime Butarque will increase from 13,200 to 14,500 seats. The project is being carried out in cooperation with the Leganés City Council and LALIGA, reviving an initiative considered in the previous season but not implemented due to the lack of a concession title. According to the club, the new stand should be ready after the third or fourth home match of the season.
Arrangements for season ticket holders
Until the new section opens, season ticket holders assigned to that stand will be able to use other areas of the stadium. They will be provided with a special code to exchange for a ticket for each of the earlier matches.
Sign-ups for the new stand are available only through a link provided by the club. In its statement, C.D. Leganés emphasises: Let’s make history together!,
encouraging fans to be part of this special moment in the club’s history.
History of Estadio Butarque
Estadio Butarque in the Madrid suburb of Leganés replaced the old Estadio Luis Rodríguez de Miguel in 1998, which had served the club since the 1960s. Initially, it could hold 8,138 spectators and remained in this form until 2016, when CD Leganés earned its first-ever promotion to the Primera División.
This required a modernisation, carried out in stages over three years. The works included the addition of new seating rows and 18 VIP boxes, increasing capacity to 12,450. All new seats were placed closer to the pitch, improving match-viewing conditions.
The stadium has an oval shape with a cut-off western end, a covered east stand, and uncovered sections elsewhere. Blue seats form the inscriptions CD Leganés,
1928
and 2018.
In 2014, a scoreboard was installed above the west stand. The complex also includes a secondary pitch used by the reserves and youth teams.
