Spain: Rayo's problem is not the Conference League, it's La Liga

La Liga might not approve the use of the Estadio de Vallecas next season, even after the works carried out by the Community of Madrid. Rayo Vallecano's president has revealed that more work will be needed. The problem of the UEFA inspection is relegated to the background.

La Liga is a bigger danger than Conference
According to Raúl Martín Presa, the works at Estadio de Vallecas, financed by the Community of Madrid, are not sufficient to comply with La Liga stadium regulations. The president of Rayo Vallecano claims to have received a series of requirements from the competition's board of directors that the remedy, now focused on replacing the roof at Lateral, does not cover. As of today, the Rayo temple does not have the approval of La Liga.
If the stadium doesn't undergo some reforms, it's possible that it won't make it to La Liga,
he said in a statement for El Chiringuito. The stadium has many non-compliances,
he explained.
Surprisingly, he does believe that the stadium will pass the UEFA inspection, scheduled for July, to be able to play in the Conference League. We have been looking at the UEFA parameters and we believe that we will be able to meet them,
said the head of the club. The usual thing is that the stadiums, even though they meet the requirements of La Liga, have to adapt to the requirements of European competitions, not the other way around.
The state of the venue is far below that of the other Primera Liga stadiums and its deterioration, which has been increasing in recent years, has led the Community of Madrid to invest €2M in its repair. A solution contrary to what Presa proposes and what the president of the Community Isabel Díaz Ayuso initially supported, that is, moving to a new stadium, something that would possibly leave Rayo Vallecano out of Vallecas.

Rayo fans have long been complaining about leaks, unclean toilets, dirty seats or bird droppings in their stadium.
