Real Madrid works while court proceedings continue
Although the case involving concerts at the Santiago Bernabéu is currently being reviewed in court, Mayor Martínez-Almeida remains confident that a balanced solution can be reached—one that benefits both the city and its residents. The ongoing legal proceedings complicate any immediate decisions until the case is resolved.
In the meantime, Real Madrid is working on improving the stadium’s acoustic performance. Once technical evaluations are complete, the results will be submitted to city authorities, who will decide whether to issue the necessary permits for future events. Simultaneously, the city council is implementing measures to enhance the quality of life for residents in the surrounding area, aiming to reduce disturbances caused by large-scale events. We will continue working to make concerts possible at the Bernabéu, while also respecting the rest and well-being of local residents,
Almeida said.
The mayor fully supports hosting concerts at the Bernabéu, emphasizing the stadium’s role as a key cultural and entertainment venue for Madrid. Its ability to host large-scale events such as international music concerts and NFL games brings significant prestige and economic benefits to the city.
