The first edition of the Como Cup will take place from July 23 to 27. Competing for the title are AFC Ajax, Al-Ahli Saudi FC, Celtic FC, and of course the hosts, Como 1907. But – as is typical in the club’s new era of management – there’s more at stake than just the trophy.

A few days of intense competition…

This tournament will be the highlight of a larger celebration around Lake Como – the Football On The Lake festival. In addition to the football action, the program features culinary events, concerts, and moments of culture and art.

The tournament will of course be held at Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia and will kick off on July 23 with a match between Como 1907 and Al-Ahli. In the second semi-final, Ajax take on Celtic – a matchup reminiscent of Champions League nights. The third-place match is scheduled for July 26, and the final will take place a day later, crowning the winner of this inaugural edition. Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers remarked: We’re delighted to be invited to the Como Cup – an intriguing tournament in northern Italy, a region always passionate about football. It’s a fantastic opportunity to prepare for the new season.
