Cutting-edge technology for world-class football
The installation of digital screens marks another step in the modernization of Etihad Stadium. Manchester City, known as one of the most innovative football clubs in the world, has long been investing in technological solutions to enhance the matchday experience for fans.
Fitting such large displays requires meticulous planning and advanced preparatory work. The project involves specialist construction work and the adaptation of the stadium’s existing infrastructure to accommodate a new support system. Engineers from Peacock Precision Services were on site last week to begin installing the steel structure and conducting geodetic measurements necessary for suspending the digital panels. The new screens are expected to be operational before the start of the 2025/26 season.

From Carlisle to the world’s top stadiums
For Peacock Precision Services, the project represents a significant milestone. As Managing Director Kieron Peacock highlighted, being involved in the modernization of the Etihad Stadium crowns several years of steady growth.
We are extremely proud to be part of this exciting development at the Etihad Stadium. It’s a landmark project in a city where we’ve already forged strong working relationships, and to be trusted with such a prominent and technically demanding installation at one of the most iconic football stadiums in Europe is a great endorsement of the standard of work our team delivers.
Peacock also reflected on the company’s journey—from small-scale surveying jobs in residential areas to participating in a major investment at a stadium that regularly hosts Champions League fixtures. Since its founding, the firm has completed over 1,000 projects across the UK, including major works on the M6 and A1 motorways, as well as residential and commercial developments in Newcastle and Oxford.
