What does the project include?

A stadium with a capacity of nearly 5,000 spectators, featuring a modern design and respect for nature – this will be more than just a venue for matches; it’s a space that could transform the entire region’s landscape. The investor is the city of Brezno, which plans to create not only a stadium but a full-fledged multifunctional complex. The investment will include parking lots, new access roads, lighting, greenery, and modern urban furniture. The goal is to build a compact, functional, and aesthetically pleasing facility that will serve not only sports but also the local community’s social life.

While waiting for further investments in sports infrastructure, fans often seek other forms of online entertainment, with casino games being among the most popular. Check out nove online casino and enjoy the game!

The architectural design by Promiprojekt combines modernity with local identity. The facade will be decorated with perforated metal featuring motifs of the Low Tatras ridge and the majestic Ďumbier – a symbolic gesture to connect the stadium with the surrounding nature. The stands will have eight rows and will be fully covered by a steel structure protecting fans from rain and sun. The main and auxiliary buildings will house not only locker rooms and coaching facilities but also administrative offices and commercial spaces, which could provide the stadium with independent revenue streams.

The stadium will accommodate 4,885 spectators, with the usable area of the main stand covering 2,958 m². The footprint of the main building will be 1,675 m², and the covered stand will span 4,413 m². The complex will also include extensive paved areas and roads totaling 9,883 m². Fans and visitors will have access to 217 new parking spaces, ensuring convenient transport service to the facility.

New stadium for FK Železiarne Podbrezová

The club remains cautious about the reports

The new stadium is designed to meet the strict standards of the Slovak Football Association, UEFA, and even European competition requirements. It is undoubtedly an ambitious investment in contemporary Slovak sport. FK Podbrezová has been among the top teams in the Niké Liga for several seasons, and the new stadium could be a natural step forward.

The management of Podbrezová responds cautiously. Although plans for the new stadium have sparked great interest among the public and FK Železiarne Podbrezová fans, the club’s leadership says it is still too early for concrete decisions. A possible move is not ruled out.

This project is being carried out by the city of Brezno, the Slovak Football Association, and the Ministry of Education. If we were to move to this stadium, it would only be as tenants. Moreover, everything is still at the project stage; nothing has been agreed upon or signed yet. It is too early to deal with the details, said FK Podbrezová’s sporting director Michal Budovec in an interview with Šport24.
