2026 will see the Buffalo Bills move from their current home to the New Highmark Stadium just across the way. The state-of-the-art 62,000 capacity venue is one that is already getting fans of the NFL team very excited, and the facilities should certainly be a major upgrade on what they experience today, especially given the mouthwatering $2.1 billion invested in its construction.

The Bills have been playing at their current stadium since 1973, albeit it’s seen a few name changes and countless renovations, and 2026 could be seen as a fresh start for a team that has not won a Super Bowl in the NFL era.
Sean McDermott has achieved a great deal since coming in as head coach in 2017, including being top of the NFC East for each of the last five seasons; however, pushing deeper into the postseason is surely an ambition for both the 51-year-old and the team’s fans.
If those who believe a new home could help fuel a push for a first-ever Super Bowl triumph want to place a wager to make those hopes all the more rewarding, then the analysis and information available at Sportsline.com will prove very useful indeed.
In 2024, the Bills eased to an impressive 13-4 regular season record before beating the Denver Broncos and the Baltimore Ravens to set up an AFC Championship game against the Kansas City Chiefs. That game proved a bridge too far for McDermott’s side, who lost 29-32 in a thriller.
McDermott was made head coach in 2017, and in 2020, Buffalo reached their first AFC Championship game in over twenty years, ultimately going down to the Chiefs, who also eliminated the Bills in 2021, 2023 and 2024.
The 60,000+ facility saw the Topping Out
of the New Highmark earlier this month, the moment when the last steel was added to the 156-foot high structure and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell was there to mark the occasion, commenting.
I know how much the Bills mean to this community. It’s part of the spirit; it’s part of the identity. I really believe this is going to secure the franchise here for decades,
New York Governor Kathy Hochul was also present at the ceremony, adding: Today marks a major milestone for the future home of the Buffalo Bills and one of the largest construction projects ever built in Western New York,
This world-class stadium would not be possible without our skilled union workers and partners, and I look forward to cheering along with them at the first Bills game being played here in the 2026 season.
Bills owner Terry Pegula thanked those responsible for the work thus far: Today is about you hard workers; men and women. Electricians, carpenters, operating engineers, painters, teamsters, ironworkers. The list goes on and on,
Pegula concluded.
The Bills will want to hit the ground running in 2025, and McDermott would no doubt love to see Buffalo begin the season the same way they opened the previous campaign, where his team managed to open with a 10-2 record before hitting the brakes towards the end of the year.
