Was it worth it?
The video shows the man ordering food at Everton Stadium in the Vauxhall district of Liverpool. When the server turned away to prepare a coffee, the fan said adiós amigo
and walked off laughing with the food, adding: I’m the first to officially pull a Toby [slang for theft] at Bramley-Moore Dock.
Everton confirmed that the 62-year-old man from Rainhill received a lifetime stadium ban and had his club membership revoked. Merseyside Police said they had been made aware of the incident, but the matter remains with the club. The man was also asked to donate the value of the stolen food—£12.75—to the Everton in the Community charity.
The footage was taken during the first test event at the new stadium on February 17, when 10,000 fans attended a friendly match between Everton U18s and Wigan.
