€17M for 50 years of concessions. On Thursday, CD Leganés and the city council signed an agreement, negotiations for which began in 2021. The current talks took a year and a half. This is a historic agreement,
proclaimed mayor Miguel Ángel Recuenco, pleased that after a decade of waiting and uncertainty
it is now certain that the Pepineros are staying at Estadio Municipal Butarque.
Although the figures show that the club will pay €337,000 a year to play in La Liga's smallest stadium, most of that amount will not be covered directly. The club will build a €5.7m sports complex in the north of the city, make the stadium available for an annual tournament with the goal of promoting the city, as well as provide the city with 60 tickets for each league game and advertising space in both the stadium and the sports town.

Leganés will also have to take care of its stadium, funding its modernisation over the next four years. In its announcement, the club has already said it will start planning the work, with a view to announcing the shape of the first phase of the upgrade in the next months.
We will invest in the stadium to upgrade it and bring it in line with what our fans and the city deserve,
Pepineros president Jeff Luhnow said.
